Fiat wanted to reintroduce their new 500 line to the market with experiences with art and culture at the forefront. With activations at the Deitch Projects and in the Times Square, they needed a partner who would help bring about innovation and authenticity.
Fiat wanted to make a lasting impression, and tasked Decon with building playable instruments out of Fiat car parts. Decon approached the project head-on, and built a playable drumkit, guitar, and bass all out of original car parts which were featured at both activations. Decon also helped to provide the musical score to both events, curating branded playlists for the Deitch Projects series, and booking talent for their Times Square activation.
Between the memorable car-part instrument installation and the performances from buzz-worthy musical talent, Decon helped lend each Fiat event credibility within the artistic communities, as well as with the public at large.
