Fiat wanted to introduce their new 500 product line to the market with unique culture-driven experiences. With activations scheduled at a Soho art gallery and in Times Square, they needed a partner who could infuse the experiences with innovation and authenticity. Fiat wanted to make a lasting impression, and tasked Decon with building playable instruments out of Fiat car parts that would be the centerpiece of their activations. Decon approached the project head-on, and built a playable drum kit, guitar, and bass all out of original Fiat car parts. Decon also helped to provide the musical score for both events, curating branded playlists for the Deitch Projects series, and booking live performances for their Times Square activation. Between the playable car-part instruments and the performances from buzz-worthy musical talent, to a 10-part video recap series, Decon helped to rev up each activation into an unforgettable experience.
